DUES REDUCTION!
Dear Friends of SCCS,
Your support and feedback have made for positive changes in our club.
The Board has met over the past weeks to discuss your on-going
suggestions regarding the future of the SCCS including meeting times,
our monthly newsletter, The Slice of Wry, member dues and asset
allocation.
Based on member comments about meeting and newsletter costs, the
Board has decided to discontinue printing The Slice of Wry. In keeping
with the times, meeting announcements, president’s blog, cartooning
articles, photos, videos, cartooning articles, photos, videos, job postings,
member news, exclusively on our website: sccs-online.org. We welcome
your contributions. Please send cartoons, cartooning articles, news, or
your personal art website to our webmaster Jack Zabawa at:
videokahuna@yahoo.com.
As a result of this change, yearly membership is now reduced from $40 to
$25
As a result of this change, yearly membership is now reduced from $40 to
$25! Members in good standing will receive an extension to accommodate
the $15 difference. Long-distance memberships will be available for $20.
Be assured, these changes will maintain a stable treasury. Membership
benefits include:
• Free meeting attendance (except Comic-Con Party), a $25 savings!
• Membership card with expiration date
• Members-Only Car Pooling phone list organized by zip code
• Post-card mailing of speaker line-up and dates
Find your OLD membership expiration date on the address label of this
letter. If there is no date below your address, then we welcome your new
or renewed membership. Send your $25 check payable to SCCS to: Lynn
Stedd, treasurer, 4288 Arguello Street, San Diego, CA 92103.
For timely club news we invite web surfers to join our SCCS Yahoo Email

Food Potluck assignments.

meetings and events for the coming year. This will be your only notice!

online.org or with a Web Buddy for last minute changes.
We hope you will embrace these changes as we look forward to another
great year of monthly meetings with fascinating guest speakers, art
demos, fun raffles, potlucks and camaraderie, as well as annual events
like our Blood Bank Cartoonists Day, San Diego Charger Blood Drive,
NCS/SCCS Comic-Con Kickoff and Winter Holiday Parties. The SCCS
strives to serve cartoon-loving friends like you! Thanks for your support.
